The annual Disc Golf Ice Bowl will be held Saturday at Patriots Park. The entry fee is $20 and a donation of nonperishable canned goods for Golden Harvest Food Bank. Mulligans are available for $1 each. Professional, advanced, intermediate, recreational and novice divisions will be open; all players regardless of ability are encouraged to play. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m., followed by a players' meeting. Everyone will have a chance to win prizes. There will be a chili cook-off lunch between the first and second rounds, as well as a silent auction. Those not interested in playing but wanting to donate can drop off monetary donations or canned goods from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Patriots Park Activities Center. The third annual Panther Pace Chase 5K will be held Jan. 22 at Lakeside High School. Proceeds will go toward new uniforms, new equipment and meets for the Lakeside track and field team. A shoe drive for the New Hope Food Pantry also will be held. The entry fee is $18 for the 5K and $10 for the kids' half-mile race. Registration is available on www.active.com. The Dog Gone Cold 5K Run/Walk benefiting PawPrints Foundation will be held Jan. 22 at the Julian Smith Casino BBQ Pit at Lake Olmstead. PawPrints Foundation provides fundraising and education for shelter animals. The 1-mile Fun Run has an entry fee of $10 and will start at 9:30 a.m. The 5K has an entry fee of $30 and will start at 10 a.m. Registration is available online at www.pawprintsfoundation.org/dog-gone-cold-5k.html or before the race from 8-9:45 a.m. Those who pre-register are guaranteed an event T-shirt. Dogs are welcome to run alongside their owner, but they must be leashed, well socialized and vaccinated. Golf tournaments

The Augusta Junior Golf League Winter Tournament Series will be held throughout January and February at Jones Creek Golf Club. A tournament will be held each Saturday through Feb. 12. Greenbrier High School baseball will hold its annual Wolfpack Baseball Classic on Monday at Jones Creek Golf Club. There will be a shotgun start at noon. The cost is $300 for a team of four, and hole sponsorships are available. Proceeds benefit the baseball program. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third places and for long drive and closest to the pin contests. There will also be raffle prizes. A hamburger/hot dog lunch will be served.
