Grovetown council meeting delayed

Monday's Grovetown City Council meeting, in which city leaders expected to appoint two new council members, was postponed because of snow and ice and will instead take place this evening.

The monthly meeting will be held today at City Hall on Old Wrightsboro Road at Robinson Avenue. The work session will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the council meeting to immediately follow. The mayor and council members will appoint two council members to fill the unexpired terms of Robert Newman and Barry Davis, whose resignations were effective Jan. 1. The regular election will be held in November.
