Music to a dog 's ears
Columbia Middle School band and choral students, under the direction of Katie Bennett and Phillip Streetman, recently presented a holiday concert. Donations totaling $255 were collected at the concert to benefit CSRA Happy Tails Rescue.
Stallings Island Middle School council will meet at 2 p.m. Jan. 7, March 11 and April 22.

Visitors must wear closed-toed shoes to enter the kennel area, which is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. The facility, at 6337 Columbia Road in Appling, will be closed Friday.

Greenbrier High School baseball will hold its annual Wolfpack Baseball Classic on Jan. 17 at Jones Creek Golf Club. There will be a shotgun start at noon. The cost is $300 for a team of four, and hole sponsorships are available.
