The American Red Cross of Augusta is holding a holiday campaign, "Gifts That Save the Day," through Friday. A catalog offers more that 20 gift ideas, including phone cards for military personnel and disaster cleanup kits for families. Pet donations
CSRA Happy Tails Rescue's Kibble for Kritters campaign is being held during December, with donations of pet food and accessories accepted at the Best Western Evans Hotel in Grovetown, the Baymont Inn and Suites in Augusta and Americas Best Value Inn on Washington Road.

Tree recycling
The Army Corps of Engineers is accepting real Christmas trees, not artificial trees, for recycling through Jan 10. Trees can be dropped off at Riverside Middle School on Furys Ferry Road in Evans.
