Columbia County artists will put their works on display for the community on Saturday.
The Artists' Guild of Columbia County's sixth annual Art After Dark will feature several media, including paintings, pottery, jewelry and photography. All pieces will be available for purchase, said Artists' Guild President Cyndy Epps.
The event will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Church of the Holy Comforter, 473 Furys Ferry Road in Martinez.
Music and entertainment will be provided by the Columbia County Choral Society, Columbia County Civic Orchestra and the De Capo Chamber Players. Guests can snack on hors d'oeuvres and sip wine provided by Vineyard Wine Market.
Proceeds made from a silent auction and local celebrity auction will benefit the guild's scholarship fund for high school students who plan to pursue a career in the arts after graduation.
This year's list of 13 hometown celebrities includes Jennie Montgomery, of WJBF News Channel 6; Liz Hill, of NBC WAGT Channel 26; Austin Rhodes, of The Austin Rhodes Show ; Columbia County Commissioner Trey Allen; Chief Magistrate Bobby Christine; and Barry Paschal, publisher of The Columbia County News-Times .
"It's been growing every year," Epps said. "Last year, we had about 350 people there."
