Elect Kristi Baker

Though I cannot vote for Kristi Baker (I don't live in her district), I wish I could. I met Kristi years ago when I volunteered at Martinez Elementary, where my grandchildren attended school. Kristi and I volunteered in the library, reading to classes.

Kristi's main attribute is her love for the kids. She gave up her profession as a nurse to be home with her children, and she became known as the "Neighborhood Mother" by all the kids in her neighborhood. Kristi always knew what was going on with each child and guided them in a Christian manner. Her love for these children has not decreased at all since she re-entered the workplace, because her house continues to be the "kids' welcome center." She has spent unpaid and untold hours volunteering in schools from every aspect.

Columbia County will be enriched by having a person with Kristi Baker's knowledge, experience, integrity, and compassion serving on its School board. I encourage District 2 voters to elect Kristi Baker.
