Evans High School's junior varsity football squad was a scoring machine this season.

In five of their six victories, the Knights scored at least 35 points. But it wasn't all about offense: The Knights' defense allowed seven points or fewer in five of those wins.
Though Evans lost 14-9 in its matchup with Columbia County rival Lakeside, the Knights topped the Panthers in the standings to claim The Columbia County News-Times County Cup.
The County Cup is awarded each year to the top junior varsity football team in Columbia County.
Evans went 3-1 against the county's other teams. Lakeside came into its final game against Grovetown with a 2-0-1 record and lost 10-6 to fall to 2-1-1.
The Panthers won the County Cup last season.
