Advance voting

Advance voting will be held from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily through Friday at the Columbia County Board of Elections office in Evans, at Patriots Park and at Savannah Rapids Pavilion. Precincts will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday for voting.

Halloween event

Businesses are being sought to hand out candy at Columbia County's Trick or Treat so Others Can Eat, 5:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Patriots Park gym. For details, call (706) 312-7191.

Norway scholars

Applications are being sought for students to study in Norway next summer under a Rotary Club program. Students must be single, ages 20-24. All expenses are paid. For an application, contact Pam Lightsey at (706) 729-2484 or plightsey@aug.edu.

Artists sought

Tuesday is the deadline to enter the Artist Guild of Columbia County's Art After Dark, to be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 13 at Church of the Holy Comforter, 473 Furys Ferry Road, Martinez. Hair show

The Georgia Institute of Cosmetology, on Columbia Road in Martinez, will hold a fall and Halloween-theme hair show at 5 p.m. today. The event is free. For information, call (706) 855-0010.

Spaghetti supper

The Columbia County Cares Food Pantry will hold its annual spaghetti supper fundraiser from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 4921 Columbia Road. Tickets cost $7, or $25 for a family of four or more, with take-out available. For information, call (706) 541-2834.
