We have known Kristi Baker for approximately 15 years. She is one of the finest individuals anyone will meet. She is a devoted wife, mother and friend to all. She is raising three well-behaved, mannerly, delightful children, all of whom are excellent students.

In observing the 80-20 rule, where 20 percent of the people perform 80 percent of the work, Baker can always be found in the group of 20. She volunteers when others are silent. When not at home, work or with her family, she can be found assisting in school carnivals, selling items for fundraisers and generally helping make each organization she is involved in run smoother.

Baker is the beneficiary of a quality public education. She and her husband, Daryn, are graduates of Clemson University. Baker's father is a retired professor from Clemson. Growing up at the feet of an educator taught her the importance of an education. Serving on the Board of Education would allow her to give back to our community.

Perhaps the most important reason to vote for Baker in the upcoming election is the fact she is not running for office for political or selfish gain. She wants to improve an already excellent school system, which we in Columbia County enjoy. She wants to make a difference in the lives of every student matriculating in Columbia County schools.

For these reasons and many more, we encourage your support for Kristi Baker for the Columbia County Board of Education.
