Wendell Chavous took the checkered flag Oct. 9 in the FASTRAK Grand Nationals at Modoc Speedway.

Jonathon Davenport set the qualifying and track record by finishing in 17.283 seconds.
Davenport won the first heat race to solidify pole position for the 50-lap A-main event.
The top four finishers from each of the four heats, and from each of the two B-main events, produced a competitive field of 24 for the second round of the Grand Nationals.
Chavous took the lead late, and after a final caution on lap 46, the race was a four-lap shootout.
Chavous became the second driver to win in the FASTRAK $300,000 Grand Nationals at Modoc Speedway.
