Youth football night
The Columbia County Youth Football Night will be held at Grovetown High School on Friday. All recreational league football players are invited and will get in the game for free if they are wearing their team jersey. All coaches also will be admitted for free. They will take home a T-shirt and be allowed to take part in pregame warm-ups and postgame activities, including a meet-and-greet with high school players. Greenbrier High School will hold its Basketball Mini-Camp for boys and girls in grades 3-5 on Oct. 23. The Augusta Jewish Community Center will hold the 2010 Jay Weinberger Matzah Ball Golf Tournament on Sunday at Bartram Trail Golf Club. The registration fee is $100 per player and $400 for a team of four. Registration will start at noon, and a shotgun start will follow at 1 p.m. Hole sponsorship is an $125 donation.
