Buyers beware of the tax deduction/$1,500 energy credit.

Several companies are advertising on TV and newspapers that buyers can get a $1,500 energy credit on your tax returns when you buy their products. What they are not saying is "you could get up to" a $1,500 energy credit. Usually, retired persons or senior citizens using their savings might not get maybe several hundred dollars or less. Consult your tax preparer before buying.
