Greenbrier High School will hold Octoberfest on Oct. 23. The event, which will run from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., includes a car and bike show, a chili cook-off, a yard sale with spaces to rent, a silent auction, a basketball camp for third- to fifth-graders, and entertainment and concessions. Volleyball info

The information meeting for the CSRA Heat Volleyball Club will be held Oct. 17 at 2 p.m. at the Hull Fine Arts Center at Augusta Prep. Traveling teams and developmental clinics for girls in grades 4-12 will be discussed. Tryouts start Nov. 7. Youth football night

The Columbia County Youth Football Night will be held at Grovetown High School on Oct. 15. All recreational league football players are invited and will get in the game free if they are wearing their team jersey. All coaches also will be admitted free. They also will take home a T-shirt and be allowed to take part in pregame warm-ups and postgame activities, including a meet-and-greet with high school players. Basketball camp

Greenbrier High School will hold its Basketball Mini-Camp for boys and girls in grades 3-5 on Oct. 23. The camp will be held at the school's gymnasium from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.. The cost is $25 per child. Those attending should wear basketball shoes, a T-shirt and shorts and should bring a water bottle. A snack will be provided. Golf tournaments

The Lakeside High School Cheerleading/Track Golf Tournament will be held Saturday at Applewood Golf Course. There will be a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. The format is a four-man Lauderdale, and the cost is $40 per person, $160 per team, or $135 for a team with a hole sponsor (total of $235 for the team). Bartram Trail Golf Club will be holding beginner, advanced and workout clinics for children ages 6-14. Beginner clinics will be held Monday and Oct. 11, 18 and 25 from 4-5 p.m. Advanced clinics (for advanced players only) will be held Oct. 7, 14, 21 and 28 from 4-5 p.m. The workout clinics will be held Monday and Oct. 11, 18 and 25 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Players should wear workout attire with running shoes.
