District 2 school board candidate's commitment 'is second to none'

I am a voter in the second district and I am quite impressed with school board candidate Carl Schluter.

I had the opportunity to meet and talk with Schluter recently while he and his family (wife and two kids) walked my neighborhood. After the conversation and upon reading his campaign literature, I truly believe Schluter will be a valuable asset to the Board, as well as the constituents of District 2.

In addition to Carl being an attorney, he has an undergraduate degree in finance, which will be crucial in managing a budget that exceeds $165 million.

He has a caring heart, which is evident in his public service involvement in such groups as Georgia Legal Aid and Safe Homes of Augusta, where he currently serves on the board of directors.

I felt comfortable talking with Schluter and honestly believe his commitment to Columbia County children is second to none.

I urge voters of District 2 to learn more about Carl Schluter, and I believe you will see what I see. He has my vote on Nov. 2.
