Youth football night

The Columbia County Youth Football Night will be held at Grovetown High School on Oct. 15. All recreational league football players are invited and will get in the game for free if they are wearing their team jersey. All coaches also will be admitted for free. They also will take home a T-shirt and be allowed to take part in both pregame warm-ups and postgame activities, including a meet-and-greet with high school players. Basketball camp
Greenbrier High School will hold its Basketball Mini-Camp for boys and girls in grades 3-5 on Oct. 23. The camp from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. will be held at the school's gymnasium. The cost is $25 per child. Those attending should wear basketball shoes, a T-shirt and shorts and should bring a water bottle. A snack will be provided. GHS fundraiser
Greenbrier High School will hold Octoberfest on Oct. 23. The event, which will run from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., includes a car and bike show, a chili cook-off, a yard sale, a silent auction, a basketball camp for children in grades 3-5, entertainment and concessions. The information meeting for the CSRA Heat Volleyball Club will be Oct. 17 at 2 p.m. at the Hull Fine Arts Center at Augusta Prep. Traveling teams and developmental clinics for girls in grades 4-12 will be discussed. Tryouts will begin Nov. 7.
