The band based in Greenwood, S.C., performed at the amphitheater last summer. The performance, which attracted 1,700 people, enticed organizers to bring them back.

"That was the most well-attended concert we've had, ever," said Keela Fruehling, a county community events specialist. "They are really popular. People love them. They are very entertaining."

The family-friendly show starts at 7 p.m. Saturday at the amphitheater in Evans.

The Medallions started in the 1960s and rose to fame with their 1966 single Double Shot of My Baby's Love . The group followed that hit with She Drives Me Out of My Mind in 1967 and Hey, Hey Baby in 1969.

Now, the group travels the country playing beach music, rhythm and blues, shag music and frat rock.

Tickets cost $5 in advance and $7 at the gate. Advance tickets are available from Columbia County Community and Leisure Services, Evans Government Center Building B, 630 Ronald Reagan Drive, Evans.

No coolers or outside food will be allowed. Fruehling said Bean Baskette will sell refreshments and alcohol.

Fruehling encouraged guests to bring chairs and blankets.
