Frank Wilson is revisiting his old stomping grounds.

Wilson recently opened Frank Wilson's Equipment Center, a new outdoor equipment and party supply rental and sales store in Grovetown.
The former owner of Frank Wilson's Rentals and Sales, through which he rented and sold outdoor power equipment in Augusta, opened the new store Aug. 2.
Wilson closed the original business -- including locations in Thomson, Aiken, Evans, North Augusta and Augusta -- in 1999, after nearly 20 years.
He opened the Grovetown location at 114 E. Robinson Ave. at Katherine Street, and inventory is still arriving.
"It is going to be the same thing," said Wilson, who also owns and operates Frank Wilson Construction LLC, which moves homes scheduled for demolition and renovates them for resale.
"We will have a full line of rental equipment for the home-owner and small contractor."
The store will sell and rent a wide range of equipment for home and landscape projects, including walk-behind trenchers, small excavators, small concrete breakers, pressure washers, bush hogs and jacks.
"It is a wide variety of things," Wilson said.
He chose to reopen the rental and sales store in Grovetown to assist the rapidly growing population of city residents.
"You've got such a huge growth area," Wilson said.
"And the secret to this business is there is no secret. You have to go where the growth is. ... I'm still young enough to enjoy and do this business and really, really care about this business."
Wilson will also be renting party and special-event supplies, including tents, tables, chairs, inflatables and snow cone, popcorn and cotton candy machines.
The store also will offer consigned, used and refurbished power equipment for sale.
The store is open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. until noon Saturday.
For information, call the store at (706) 855-7500.
