The Dixie Youth Ponytails World Series continues today at Patriots Park.

Play in the double-elimination tournament started yesterday for 11 girls' softball teams from 10 different states.
The event will wrap up with Wednesday night's championship game -- a 6 p.m. game, followed by one at 8 p.m. if necessary to determine a winner.
One of the 11 teams in the tournament is Columbia County's host squad.
The other teams are Yazoo City (Miss.); Burgaw (N.C.); McEwen (Tenn.); Montgomery American (Ala.); Spring Hill (Fla.); Sumter (S.C.); Crosby (Texas); Whitfield County National (Ga.); South Hill (Va.); and Savine (La.).
This is the fifth time Columbia County has served as host of a Dixie Youth recreation league World Series.

When: Play continues today and wraps up Wednesday.
Cost: Tickets are $5 for adults and children ages 7 and older. Series passes are available: $25 for adults and $20 for children.
Games: Today, 9 and 11 a.m. and 4 and 6 p.m.; Monday, 6 and 8 p.m.; Tuesday, 6 and 8 p.m.; Wednesday, 6 and 8 p.m. (Last game only played if necessary.)
