Most everyone knows we have lost our greens at Bartram Trail Golf Club and are now playing The Little Course as the new greens are prepared.
It's a blast to play! Shortened distances give you a whole (pun intended) new course and a shot maker's challenge. Your shot into the sand greens is target golf at its best.
Sand greens? That's the way golf was originally played, a true step back in time. It's small, yet challenging.
I'm not suggesting wearing a tie and knickers, but it's a lot of fun to play a historic part of our great game of golf. The tees and fairways as always are in excellent shape and the rough is just that. The beauty of Bartram Trail is always there.
During this time there are lower greens fees and a lot of specials which make life a bit easier on the wallet. Grab some friends and create your own relaxed rules, or maybe a three-club outing. Or just let it fly from the tee and feel like a pro when you walk up to your approach shot.
Robby Watson and his staff are doing a great job and deserve the support of all golfers. I'm a proud member at Bartram Trail and invite everyone to come out and play.
