Army Pfc. Matthew E. Phillips has graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla. He is the son of Samuel Phillips, of Grovetown, and a 2006 graduate of Harlem High School.

Army Reserve Pfc. William C. Bridges has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia. Bridges is the son of Georgia Gilbert, of Harlem.

Army Reserve Pfc. Darien E. Badillo has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia. Badillo is the son of Eliseo Badillo Jr., of Evans, and Carmen Perez, of Colonial Heights, Va.

Army Pvt. Paul T. Mitchell has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia. He is the son of Tina and Gregory Mitchell, of Evans, and a 2009 graduate of Evans High School.

Army National Guard Pvt. Ashleigh K. Helmsderfer has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia. Helmsderfer is the daughter of Kyle Helmsderfer, of Evans.

Army Reserve Pfc. Joshua W. Bartlett has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia. Bartlett is the son of Ronald Bartlett of Evans, and a 2009 graduate of Greenbrier High School.

Army Pfc. Mendell Jackson has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia. Jackson is the son of Pearlie Burgess, of Augusta, and the grandson of Pauline Paschall, of Thomson.

U.S. Army Maj. Jonathan P. Sloan is one of more than 370 military officers, including 46 international officers, who graduated from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College's Intermediate Level Education Course at Fort Leavenworth, Kan. Sloan has served in the military for 12 years. He is the son of Paul E. Sloan, of Grovetown. Sloan graduated in 1993 from Fairfield Senior High School in Ohio, and received a bachelor's degree in 1997 from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

Army Pvt. Terrence C. Turman has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia. Turman is the son of Yetonia Hutchinson, of Thomson, and a 2006 graduate of Thomson High School.

Army National Guard Pfc. Wesley A. Hughes has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia. He is the son of Connie Grovner, of Evans, and grandson of Dan Rich, of Augusta.

Army Pvt. James S. DiSapio has graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla. DiSapio earned distinction of being an honor graduate. He is the son of Francis DiSapio of Grovetown.
