The 11-to-12-year-old Columbia County Recreation Department Spurs won the championship for the 2010 winter basketball season March 6 by beating the Bulls, 48-45, in overtime.
The Augusta Arsenal U-10 Green team won the Silver Division at the Atlanta Fire United Classic on May 1-2. The tournament was held in Suwanee, Ga. The team is made up of boys from Columbia and Richmond counties.
