Tony and Frances Ferrara of Evans celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 11. The couple was married at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Brooklyn, N.Y. Many family and friends celebrated with a surprise party given by their daughter and son-in-law, Jim and Theresa Somma of Evans.
Letitie Clark, the mother of Ryan Christopher Clark, and Julie Miller, the executive director of Columbia County Community Connections, present a $1,000 check to Jacquelynne Rodriguez, a graduate of Evans High School, the winner of the 2010 Ryan Clark Scholarship and Community Service Award. Ryan was killed at Virginia Tech in 2007.

Arsenal U11 are champs
The Augusta Arsenal U11 Girls were champions of the Premier Division at the Julian Brown Memorial Tournament held in Charlotte, N.C., the weekend of April 17-18. The girls tied Bull City 1-1 before defeating Twin City '98 Blue 4-0 and Greensboro Twisters '98 White 5-0. In the finals, the Augusta Arsenal girls defeated the SC Bulls '98 4-2.
