Winfield flower show scheduled

A flower show, sponsored by the Home Demonstration Council of Columbia County, will be held at Winfield Community House on Tuesday, June 11, 1957.

All entries must be in by 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday to be eligible.

A demonstration of conditioning and design will be presented. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish.

The theme of the flower arrangement will be "Make Mine Country Style."

Episcopal priest coming to Harlem

The Rev. Joseph Lamar Peacock, Curate of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Augusta, has accepted a call from the Bishop of the Diocese to become priest-in-charge of Trinity Church in Harlem and missionary priest to Thomson. Peacock will be the first resident priest to Columbia and McDuffie counties by the Episcopal Church.
