One person's trash can be another's treasure on Saturday at the Columbia County Fairgrounds.

The Rotary Club of Columbia County will hold its inaugural Giant Columbia County Yard Sale from 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Columbia Road venue across from Patriots Park.
"If you were to get out on a Saturday morning and try to hit 10 yard sales, that would be kind of difficult to do," said Rotarian Connie Redmond. "This will be like going to a neighborhood yard sale, just at one place."
The yard sale will feature new and old items in addition to services provided by companies and organizations.
Redmond said a variety of crafters, businesses and individuals will set up booths at the event. More than 30 vendors had signed up by last week, she said.
Large items, such as exercise equipment and furniture, will also be available for purchase, said Redmond, adding that food and refreshments will be for sale.
Prices on items are set by vendors, she said.
Shepeard Community Blood Center's blood mobile will also be parked at the fairgrounds collecting donations.
The Salvation Army will be on hand to take items that people don't sell and wish to donate.
Vendors wanting to rent a space can do so until Friday. The Rotary Club will charge $50 for a commercial booth, $40 for a crafter booth, $25 for an individual's outdoor booth and $50 for an individual's indoor booth.
"The proceeds from the sale of the spaces will benefit local Rotary charities," Redmond said. "Some of the other Rotary clubs have told us this is a really good fundraising event.
"It would be something that we would really like to start doing annually."
Vendors are encouraged to bring their own canopies and tables.
