Appling Archers will hold a memorial service at 3 p.m. today followed by an hour of prayer for America. The group meets at the former store at the corner of White Oak and Ray Owens roads in Appling. For information, go to www.applingarchers.com.
The city of Grovetown will hold a Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony at 10 a.m. Monday at City Hall. Candidates for Columbia County's July 20 primary elections also will be allowed to speak, and the addition of 300 names to the Veterans Wall will be announced.
Scholarships
Tuesday is the deadline to submit applications for the Columbia County Foundation for Children College Scholarships. Applicants must be residents of Columbia County and planning to attend college or technical school. For an application, e-mail ccfcscholarship@gmail.com.
