The Augusta Elks Lodge will hold its annual golf tournament on Thursday at the Augusta Municipal Golf Course. Cost is $50 per golfer. Corporate and individual participants are welcome. Sign up time will be at 11:30 a.m., followed by a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Lunch will be provided, and dinner will be served to golfers following the tournament. The We Are Special Golf Tournament to benefit Lynndale Inc. will be held June 5 at Waynesboro Country Club. Registration will be from 8-9 a.m., followed by a golf demo by Special Olympics athletes from Lynndale at 9 a.m. and the start of the tournament at 9:30 a.m. The cost is $50 per player. The second annual Grovetown High School Warrior Golf Classic will be held June 19 at Bartram Trail Golf Club. All proceeds go to the Grovetown High School Athletic Department. The cost is $300 per team or $75 per person. Tournament will start at 8:30 a.m. and prizes will go to the top teams. Registration deadline is June 15. The annual CSRA Parent-Child Championships will be June 20 at Bartram Trail Golf Club. The format will be a two-person Scramble/Lauderdale for all ages. There will be a 1:30 p.m. shotgun start. The cost is $50 per team for Bartram Trail members and $90 per team for non-members. Junior golfers may play with a parent or grandparent. Bartram Trail Golf Club will be providing three instructional golf clinics this summer for children ages 6-14. Each clinic will run Monday through Thursday from 8-10 a.m. The sessions will run June 21-24, July 12-15 and July 26-29. The instructor is Lee Henry. Cost is $90 for each instructional clinic. Golf car raffle

The Georgia RiverDawgs 10-Under travel ball team is raffling a four-passenger Club Car gas golf car with canopy top and windshield. Tickets are $5. The drawing will be held in June. Tickets can be purchased by calling (706) 945-4621.

Flag football

The adult travel flag football team Showtime is looking for former high school and college football players to fill its roster. Boating

Savannah Riverkeeper will play host to an evening paddle June 3 and June 17. A donation of $15 is asked for each participant. The 90-minute tour will launch from the landing at River Island community at 6 p.m. Boaters will paddle toward the Fury's Ferry bridge and explore Deep Step, a former cypress swamp. Paddlers are encouraged to bring their own boat. Canoe and kayak rentals are available through Broadway Bait and Tackle in Augusta, (706) 738-8848. The Savannah River Sail and Power Squadron (SRSPS) is conducting free vessel safety checks to verify boats have the required safety equipment and documentation. Summer camps

The 19th Annual Evans High School Basketball Camps will be held Monday through June 4 and June 28 through July 2 for ages 6-14. The camps will run from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day. Greenbrier Fast Pitch Softball Clinic will be held June 1-4 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Greenbrier High School for girls in grades second through eighth. Augusta Prep's volleyball camps will be held June 7-8, June 21-25 and July 19-20. There are two sessions per camp: grades fifth through eighth from 9 a.m. until noon and grades ninth through 12th from 1-4 p.m. The cost is $60 for the two-day camps and $130 for the five-day camp. The 23rd Annual Girls and Boys Bulldog Baseball Camp will be held June 7-11 from 9 a.m. to noon daily at Harlem Recreation Field. Instruction in offensive skills, defensive skills, pitching and baseball situations and strategies will be offered. Sure Shot Basketball Camps will be held for boys entering grades sixth through ninth at Lakeside Middle School June 7-11 or Stallings Island Middle School June 14-18. The cost for the camps is $80 and they will be held 1-4:30 p.m. each day. A second set of camps for boys entering grades second through fifth will be held 9 a.m. to noon June 7-11, June 14-18 and June 26-30 at Lakeside Middle. Those camps cost $75. Greenbrier High School basketball camp will be held 8 a.m. to noon June 8-10. The camp is for boys and girls entering fifth through ninth grades. The cost is $75 per athlete. Greenbrier High School will hold a tennis camp for elementary and middle school students June 8-11 from 9 a.m. until noon. The cost is $100 per child. Those attending should bring a racquet and a water bottle. Only 30 spaces are available. Registration will be held 8:30-9 a.m. on June 8. The Dip Metress Basketball Academy will be held June 14-18. The camp will run from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 9 a.m. until noon Friday at Augusta State University. The cost of the camp is $160, which includes a T-shirt and lunch each day. Academy director is Dip Metress, head men's basketball coach at ASU. The YMCA Summer Golf Camps will be held June 21-24 and July 19-22 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for juniors ages 6-17. Included will be instruction on all phases of the game and nine holes of golf.
