Indoor soccer clinic
An indoor soccer (futsal) clinic will be held Saturday at Patriots Park Gym. The clinic will feature classroom sessions, futsal-specific skill training, and organized games. The cost will be $15, and it will include a T-shirt. The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Thurmond Lake will offer a family-oriented boating safety course Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the Thurmond Dam Visitors Center, on Route 221 just on the South Carolina side of Thurmond Dam. Bring your lunch, as there will be a 30-minute lunch break. Completion of the course satisfies Georgia and South Carolina state boating safety education requirements. Most boat insurance companies give a discount after completion of a safety course. The class fee is $35 for an individual or $50 for a family and includes a textbook.
