Chorale concert

The Augusta Children's Chorale will present its annual spring concert at 4 p.m. today at Sacred Heart Cultural Center. All mothers in the audience will be eligible for door prizes, including a strand of pearls from Windsor Jewelers. Tickets cost $10 at the door.

Giant yard sale

The Rotary Club of Columbia County's Giant Columbia County Yard Sale will be held June 5 at the Columbia County Fairgrounds. Vendor spaces cost $25. For information, call Connie Redmond at (706) 863-5500.

Alzheimer's lunch

The Augusta Alzheimer's Association will hold a free lunch program, "Community Resources for the Alzheimer's Caregiver," at noon Tuesday at the MCG Alumni Center, 919 15th St. Reservations are due Monday by calling (706) 731-9060.

'Bugsy' auditions

Young Artists Repertory Theater will hold auditions for ages 8-14 for the Aug. 20-22 production of Bugsy Malone from 6-9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday in Knox Hall at Augusta Prep, 285 Flowing Wells Road. Auditions are open to children and teens, 8-14. An accompanist will be provided for music auditions.

Instructor class

The American Red Cross will hold an instructor training class for CPR/first aid/AED from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Thursday at the Red Cross office, 1322 Ellis St., Augusta. Cost is $165. Call (706) 922-8484.

Jazz series

Band fundraiser

Pet adoptions

Purina and Heartsong Animal Rescue will hold an adoption event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Grovetown Walmart, with raffles, prizes and giveaways from Purina. A vaccination clinic, with one-year rabies vaccines available for $5, will be held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with other services available.
