Gardening tips/p>

The Columbia County Extension Service Gardening at Lunch series will be at 12:10 p.m. today with a program on irrigation systems. Call county Extension Agent Charles Phillips at (706) 868-3413.

Prayer breakfast/p>

Harlem concert

Harlem Middle School's bands and chorus will perform 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the school. Baskets will be available for silent auction. For information, call the school at (706) 556-5990.

Health program

University Hospital will hold a free dinner program on skin cancer with dermatologist Avis Yount, M.D., from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Belair Conference Center. Make reservations at www.universityhealth.org/calendar or by calling (706) 828-2502.

GOP women

Chorale concert

The Augusta Children's Chorale will present its annual spring concert at 4 p.m. Sunday at Sacred Heart Cultural Center. All mothers in the audience will be eligible for door prizes, including a strand of pearls from Windsor Jewelers.
