Car show

Relay events

Relay For Life Harlem/Columbia County will hold the survivor dinner at 5 p.m. today at the Acorn Restaurant. The relay will begin at 7 p.m. Friday at Harlem Middle School. For information, call Lee Ann at (706) 556-8222.

Rock dig

Graves Mountain, off U.S. Highway 378 between Lincolnton and Washington, Ga., is open to the public for the Rock, Swap and Dig 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. today. Admission is free. For information, call (706) 359-3862.

Vendors wanted/p>

Vendors of boats, recreational vehicles and outdoor equipment are being sought for Wildwood Park's RV and Boat Show noon to 5 p.m. Saturday. Vendor spaces cost $50. A car and motorcycle show to benefit the Southeastern Firefighters Burn Foundation also will be held, with cash prizes and plaques. For information, call (706) 541-3761.

Retired educators

The Columbia County Retired Educators Associ-ation will meet at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Ryan's restaurant, Bobby Jones Expressway, Martinez. The speaker will be Betty Tutt from the Georgia Retired Educators Association. New officers will also be installed. For information, call (706) 860-3969.

GOP meeting

The Columbia County Republican Party will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Columbia County Government Complex auditorium in Evans.
