ArtsFest

GOP meetings
The Columbia County Republican Party will hold its monthly breakfast at 8:45 a.m. Saturday at Fatz Cafe in Evans, with guest speakers Gary Black, candidate for state agriculture commissioner, and Stephen Northington, candidate for state insurance commissioner cost is $6. The party also will hold a county committee meeting Tuesday starting with check-in at 6 p.m. at the Columbia County Government Complex auditorium in Evans.
Rock dig
Graves Mountain, off U.S. Highway 378 between Lincolnton and Washington, will be open to the public for the semiannual "Rock, Swap and Dig" 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday-Sunday. Admission is free, and mineral and rock collectors from across the Southeast will have booths for buying, selling and trading, and vendors will provide food and drinks. Vendors wanted
Vendors of boats, recreational vehicles and outdoor equipment are being sought for Wildwood Park's second annual RV and Boat Show noon to 5 p.m. May 1. Vendor spaces cost $50. Chorale auditions
Augusta Children's Chorale auditions are available to children in grades 3-8, with preparatory and performance choirs offering in-depth vocal choral training with local, national and international performance opportunities. Church revival
Dunns Chapel United Methodist Church, on Ray Owens Road in Leah, will hold its homecoming service starting at 10:30 a.m. Sunday with the Rev. Gary Dean, superintendent of the Augusta District of the United Methodist Church. Dinner on the grounds will follow at noon. Revival will begin with covered-dish dinner at 6 p.m. Wednesday, followed by a service at 7 p.m.
