Grovetown times
Grovetown City Council will hold its monthly meetings at a new time starting Monday, with a work session at 5:30 p.m. followed by the council meeting at 6:30 p.m. The council's second monthly meeting has been eliminated.
Driver safety
The AARP Driver Safety Program will be held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Patriots Park, 5445 Columbia Road. Cost is $14, and AARP membership is not required. To register, call (706) 863-2865.
Alzheimer lunch
A free Alzheimer's lunch program on driving and dementia will be held noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the MCG Alumni Center, 919 15th St. Reservations are required by noon Monday by calling (706) 731-9060.
Holocaust event
Yom Hashoah, a Holocaust remembrance, will be observed at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Augusta Jewish Community Center, 898 Weinberger way, off Furys Ferry Road in Evans. Admission is free; those attending should wear white shirts. For information, call (706) 228-3636.
Chorale auditions
Augusta Children's Chorale auditions are available to children in grades 3-8, with preparatory and performance choirs offering vocal choral training with local, national and international performance opportunities. A limited number of openings will be filled this spring for the 2010-2011 season. Call (706) 826-4718 for an audition appointment.
