Harlem High School softball will hold an outdoor screening of the movie The Blind Side at 7:30 p.m. Friday on the football field, with proceeds to benefit the team. Admission costs $5 for adults, $3 for children, with concessions available.

Driver safety

The AARP Driver Safety Program will be held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Patriots Park, 5445 Columbia Road. Cost is $14, and AARP membership is not required. To register, call (706) 863-2865.

Bag sale

The Columbia County Foundation for Children's Helping Hands Thrift Store, 6347 Columbia Road, will hold $3 bag sales on family winter clothing through Thursday. Correction

Because of incorrect information given to a News-Times reporter, a worker in a March 25 residential construction accident was inaccurately identified as an employee of De La Fuente Construction. Isaias Marroquin does not work for that company. The News-Times regrets the error.
