Ex-roommate's television stolen from apartment

A Grovetown woman's television was stolen from an apartment she shared with a friend.

The 23-year-old said Wednesday that until recently she lived with a man in an apartment on New Petersburg Drive. She left some of her belongings at the apartment with the intent of moving them out later.

She took her roommate home to the apartment about 8:30 p.m. and noticed that a $450 42-inch television that she had left there was missing. The man said he didn't know what happened to the TV but that he had seen it about three hours earlier.

There were no signs of forced entry, and the TV was the only thing stolen.

Neighbor calls police about trespassers

An Evans man called police to report strangers trespassing in a neighbor's yard.

The 46-year-old said that on Wednesday he was outside about 9 p.m. when he saw a brown late-1990s Chevrolet S-10 truck park about 100 yards from his neighbor's home on Glenora Drive. A man got out and walked into his neighbor's yard. The resident said that his view of the trespasser was briefly blocked by trees but that a moment later, the man ran out of the neighbor's yard and drove away.

The neighbor said that nothing appeared to be missing but that gas cans had been stolen recently from a trailer parked on his property.

Woman finds door shattered at sister's home

The 51-year-old said she was checking on the home about 8:30 p.m. while her sister was hospitalized. She found the front glass door broken out.

Police did not find anyone inside or signs of forced entry. Nothing of value was stolen.
