Alarms raised by county's 'quiet' effort to rename Chamblin Road

Who is in charge of changing the name of Chamblin Road? Why do they want to change it? What kind of financial support does this take to get it done? Who is behind this? Did anyone bother to ask the citizens of Grovetown if that is what they want?

A small sign on the side of the road, too small to read, is posted quietly and discreetly thinking nobody would or could notice before it is too late.

While the county wants to allow the name of the road to be changed, costing money to change the signs, they won't take the time to see that the intersection of Lewiston Road is a deadly one that no one seems to notice. Did you know that intersection has a posted 55 mph sign posted? Have you ever been able to cross that intersection? Did you ever try to turn left in either direction?

The progress the county wanted is here, and now they want to do away with the history that brought this lovely town to what it is today. Get some action on the traffic flow before you change the name again. I have never seen so many roads that change names at the intersection. Can't you folks see this is too much?
