Haydens day

The Haydens All Star Twisters Cheerleading Program will present its annual "Friends and Family 2010" exhibition of competition cheerleading teams at 3 p.m. today at Haydens Cheerleading Academy, 4300 Evans to Lock Road, Evans. Turkey shoot

Riverview United Methodist Church will hold a turkey shoot from 5-9 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The shoots will benefit the church's building fund. Cost is $5 per shot, and shells will be provided. For information, visit www.riverviewumc.org.

Golf tourney

Augusta Christian Schools will hold its annual golf tournament with lunch at noon Friday at Bartram Trail Golf Club followed by a 1:15 p.m. shotgun start. Flag football

Augusta Prep and NFL FLAG Football will offer a youth flag football league for boys and girls ages 5-12. Practices and games will be held Sunday afternoons from April 18 until May 23. Free tennis lessons

Petersburg Racquet Club is offering free beginner tennis lessons for adults and juniors. Adult lessons will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. March 25 and April 1.

Yard sale

Boat raffle

South Columbia Elementary PTO is holding a raffle for a battery-powered catamaran with trailer. Tickets cost $2 and are available in the school office. The boat can be seen 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The drawing will be held during the PTO family dinner March 19.

Boating safety

A seven-hour boating safety course will be offered by the Corps of Engineers and Coast Guard Auxiliary at 8:30 a.m. March 27 at the Thurmond Dam Visitors Center on the South Carolina side of the dam. Cost is $35, or $50 for a family, and the fee includes a textbook. Bring your lunch. Completion of the course satisfies both Georgia and South Carolina state boating safety education requirements. River trip
