Turkey shoot

Golf tourney
Augusta Christian Schools will hold its annual golf tournament with lunch at noon Friday at Bartram Trail Golf Club followed by a 1:15 p.m. shotgun start. Flag football
Augusta Prep and NFL FLAG Football will offer a youth flag football league for boys and girls ages 5-12. Practices and games will be held Sunday afternoons from April 18 until May 23. Boat raffle
South Columbia Elementary PTO is holding a raffle for a battery-powered catamaran with trailer. Tickets cost $2 and are available in the school office. The boat can be seen 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The drawing will be held during the PTO family dinner March 19.
Boating safety
A seven-hour boating safety course will be offered by the Corps of Engineers and Coast Guard Auxiliary at 8:30 a.m. March 27 at the Thurmond Dam Visitors Center on the South Carolina side of the dam. Cost is $35, or $50 for a family, and the fee includes a textbook. Bring your lunch. Completion of the course satisfies both Georgia and South Carolina state boating safety education requirements.
