Youths hit mailbox, moon teenage girl

Two juveniles argued with an Evans woman's teenage daughter and mooned her Saturday.

The woman said that about 7:30 p.m. her 14-year-old daughter was outside when two young men walked by the Evanston Drive home and started an argument with her. The boys cursed at her daughter and damaged the mailbox by hitting it. They pulled down their pants, mooned the girl and left.

Evans woman confronts burglar

An Evans woman confronted a burglar in her home Friday.

She was in the bedroom of her Blue Ridge Crossing home about 10:30 a.m. when she heard a noise at the front door. A man was reaching for her television when she interrupted him.

When he saw her, he cursed and said, "Go! Go! Go!" He ran out the front door and got into a white truck or van and left with another man.

Nothing was taken from the home.

Burglars steal from, vandalize residence

Someone broke into a Martinez home Thursday.

The resident said that she couldn't fully open her garage door and that a house door, which is typically unlocked, was locked when she returned to her Crystal Creek East home about 1:30 p.m.

A deadbolt on her rear door that usually is locked was unlocked. The gate to the rear fence was left open.

The woman said toilets in two bathrooms were clogged with a large amount of toilet paper and overflowed when she flushed them.

She noticed several items missing Thursday night and Friday morning, including a digital camera, tote bags, lotion, bread, shaving cream and hair gel. Police found damage to the bottom of the garage door, where it appeared to have been hit with something.

Dog shot, killed in Evans backyard

An Evans woman found her dog killed Sunday.

She said that between 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. someone shot her dog in the backyard of her West Lake Drive home.

Police found a puncture wound that appeared to be caused by a gunshot behind the dog's front left leg.

Coffeemaker stolen from school raffle

A prize was stolen from a Stevens Creek Elementary School raffle.

During a school function, the winner of a $225 Keurig coffeemaker came forward to claim the prize, but it was missing from the table.

Investigators are seeking the identity of a woman captured on video carrying the coffee maker from the school.
