The clothes closet in the family life center at Marvin United Methodist Church, Belair at Wheeler Road, will reopen 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today. Clothing is free, and donations are welcome.

Gardening tips

GOP women

Gubernatorial candidate U.S. Rep. Nathan Deal will be the speaker at 6 p.m. Monday at the meeting of the Greater Columbia County Republican Women at Jones Creek Clubhouse. 4H yard sale

The Columbia County 4-H Horse Club will hold its semi-annual yard sale to benefit equine rescue and relief efforts from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Marvin United Methodist Church gym, Wheeler Road at South Belair Road.

Brown bag fundraiser

A fundraiser for David Bohling, youth director of Marvin United Methodist Church who is in need of a new prosthetic leg, will take place Thursday with donation jars at all area Monterey restaurants, all Pablanos, King's Crown Barber Shop, Martinez Auto, Waffle House on South Belair Road and Indigo Joe's.
