- Covenant United Methodist Church will hold a "Hearts for Haiti" concert at 6 p.m. Feb. 6 at the church, 4536 Washington Road in Evans. A local high school artist also will sell original paintings. Volleyball clinic

Lane closure

The highway atop Thurmond Dam will be reduced to one lane only starting Monday during construction work on the dam. The closure is expected to last for about a year.
