Soccer registration

The Columbia County recreation department will hold spring soccer registration through Friday. Registration can be done at Patriots Park administrative offices or by mail. Previous participants may register online at www. columbiacountyga.gov. Cost for county residents is $60 for first child, $50 for second child and $40 for third child. 5K run

The Jordan River Foundation 5K Classic will be held Saturday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Lakeside High track. Cost is $20 and includes a shirt and brunch. Target shooting

The Clay Pigeon Target Sporting Program S.A.F.E. Team will hold orientation and informational meetings for new and returning members at Savannah Rapids Pavilion. New members meet Jan. 25 from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Returning members will meet Feb. 3 from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. The program is open to those grades 7-12. Travel baseball
