Columbia County's Community Events Department has free calendars available at the Community Events office, at Recreation Department offices, at county libraries and at The Columbia County News-Times offices.
Dresses sought
Formally Yours, a high school students program to collect prom gowns for teens in need, is seeking donations of prom dresses. Donations may be taken to any Tudor's Cleaners or to Coach Dave's Barber Shop in Harlem. Donated dresses will be available for girls to choose from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 6 at Crossbridge Baptist Church. E-mail formallyyours10@yahoo.com.

The Augusta Jewish Federation's 2010 campaign will hold a dessert reception featuring Sidney Friedman at 7 p.m. Jan. 16 at the Augusta Jewish Community Center, off Furys Ferry Road in Evans. Charity run
