Baseball clinic

Greenbrier High School will hold a baseball clinic Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day. It is open to boys grades 2-8. Cost is $50 per person, $25 for siblings. For information, call (706) 650-6040, ext. 5921.
Race car display
The NASCAR Nationwide/ARCA series race team, Free American Racing, with driver Free Pennington, will display cars and equipment during the grand opening from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. today of the Food Lion on Columbia Road at Lewiston Road. Donations will be accepted for Golden Harvest Food Bank, and local classic car groups will participate.
5k run
The Jordan River Foundation 5K Classic will be held Jan. 23 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lakeside High track. Cost is $20 and includes a shirt and brunch. There will be a shorter run for children 13 and younger.

Rowing team
The Augusta Junior Rowing Team is accepting members. No experience is necessary, and potential members can participate for two weeks before deciding whether to join. Practices are held Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 4-6:30 p.m. at The Boathouse on Riverfront Drive in Augusta. The team is open to ages 13-18.
