'Gift to Jesus'

St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 4921 Columbia Road, will present "Santa's Gift to Jesus," a story about the true meaning of Christmas, at 2 p.m. today in the sanctuary. Admission is free, and an offering will be taken for a needy family in the area. Free hot cocoa and cookies will be served after the production. For information, call Meledy Kise at (706) 294-7913.

Hanukkah dinner

The Augusta Jewish Community Center, 898 Weinberger Way, off Furys Ferry Road in Evans, will hold its annual Hanukkah latke dinner at 6 p.m. today. Cost is a $12 for adults, $8 for children ages 4-12, with a $45 family maximum. Participants should bring menorahs and candles, or call if one is needed. Call (706) 228-3636.

Christmas hayride

Today from 7-9:30 p.m. is the final day for Sharon Baptist Church's annual Hayride Through the Life of Christ at the Columbia County Fairgrounds. Admission and hot chocolate are free. Call (706) 541-0667.

Bethlehem walk

Harlem Baptist Church and Harlem United Methodist Church will hold the annual Walk Through Bethlehem from 4-9 p.m. today. Admission is free. For information, call (706) 556-6885.
