The Nobel Peace Prize awarded for "outstanding effort" and "outreach"? Wow!
With the incessant manufactured events that promote and support the illusion of the grandeur of Barack Obama, whether it is his daily appearances, pronouncements, photo opportunities, posters, ad nauseum, he finally has "achieved" something.
His speeches are lyrical and laudatory, his national proclamations are contradictory and confusing, and his utopian goals for America are demeaning and destructive. However, his selection as recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, not for any merit or achievement but for his "extraordinary effort" and "outreach" only adds to his narcissistic aura of impotence.
His response is that he is "humbled." No, Mr. President, a soldier lying naked and hopelessly, helplessly wounded on the battlefield is humbled. Christ, tortured and exposed while all witnessed his condition - that is to be humbled. This was not a humbling experience, and Obama is not a humble person. His receipt of this award has only bestowed upon him the perception of more unearned glory and honor.
This award has come not as a result of his service to "the folks," but as a result of his own self-serving agenda. He is superficial, as is the credibility of the award.
