Churches open pumpkin patches
Mike Graybeal and other volunteers unload pumpkins at Wesley United Methodist Church in Evans for the annual Pumpkins With a Purpose, which runs through Halloween. The patch is open at the church, 825 N. Belair Road, from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. Pumpkins are also available at two other county churches. The pumpkin patch at Harlem United Methodist Church, 115 W. Milledgeville Road in Harlem, is open through Halloween from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Saturday and from 12:30-7 p.m. Sunday. The Marvin United Methodist Church pumpkin patch, 4400 Wheeler Road in Martinez, is open from noon to 8 p.m. Monday-Friday; 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday; and 1-6 p.m. Sunday through Halloween.
