Fishing tournament

The Walmart FLW Series fishing tournament at Clarks Hill Lake starts today and runs through Saturday. Boats take off at 7 a.m., with weigh-in at 3 p.m. at Wildwood Park each day through Friday. The final weigh-in will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Walmart in Evans.

Tennis lessons

Petersburg racquet club is offering free tennis lessons. Adults can receive a free lesson Thursday from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Juniors will be offered a free lesson Saturday from 11 a.m. until noon. For details, call (706) 860-9288.

Golf tournaments

Gospel Water Branch Community Development Inc. will hold its second-annual golf outing Friday at Jones Creek Golf Club. Cost is $50 per person and includes cart, green fee, lunch and awards. Rowing team

The Augusta Junior Rowing Team is accepting members. Practices are held Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 4-6:30 p.m. at The Boathouse on Riverfront Drive in Augusta. The team is open to ages 13-18. For details, visit www.augustatowingclub.org.
