Fun and games at Mundys' home

Mr. and Mrs. Bailey Mundy invited a group of neighbors, family and friends to their home on Saturday evening for a get-together in which favorite games were played, such as Parchesi, Scrabble, Chinese Checkers and Crokinole.

Some of the group had not played some of the games in long years, but all soon picked them up, and some fine championship contests went on, with a lot of fellowship and fun in the playing.

Evans PTA to meet

The Evans Parent-Teacher Association will hold its first meeting of the 1956-57 school year on Monday, Sept. 17, 1956, at 7:45 p.m. at the school. The Rev. Lansing Tinsley, pastor of Evans Baptist Church, will open the meeting with prayer, and after a short business meeting, the parents will honor the administration and faculty with a reception.

Membership in the PTA is open to everyone interested in the school, and the fee is only 50 cents per person, per year. The individual home rooms will receive credit toward a prize according to the number of parents who join.
