Nothing to applaud in Crown 'skimming the cream off the top'

I am responding to the "opinion" piece on Crown Properties in the Aug. 23 News-Times. I am astounded at the sophomoric response to complaints and concerns about this company coming to town.

Do you not realize that when they bring their own "supply chain and labor" that this community loses sales tax revenue, profits for continuing to employ citizens of Columbia and Richmond counties and growing the workforce that lives here?

This community has been very successful at retaining and attracting good business, government, medical and defense organizations, and to have an outsider come and just skim the cream off the top is not to be applauded.

There is far more to this story, and I hope your retraction will be as fervent as The News-Times' puff piece on Crown. ...
