Cheerleading camp

Lakeside High School cheerleading will play host to a "kiddie" camp Saturday at the high school. The camp is open to participants pre-K to eighth grade and will run from 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Cost is $30, and includes lunch and a T-shirt. Participants are asked to dress in shorts, T-shirts and tennis shoes, and may bring labeled water bottles. For information, call Elizabeth McDaniel at (706) 863-0027.

YMCA registration

The Marshall Family Y is holding registration for flag football and cheerleading through Sept. 7. The programs are open to boys and girls ages 5-14. Golf tournament

Rowing

The Augusta Junior Rowing Team is accepting members. No experience is necessary. Practices are held Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 4-6:30 p.m. at The Boathouse on Riverfront Drive in Augusta. The team is open to ages 13-18. Travel baseball

Softball tryout

Conditioning camp
