Cheer camp
Lakeside High School cheerleading will play host to a "kiddie" camp Aug. 29 at the high school. The camp is open to pre-K to eighth-grade pupils and will run from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Cost is $30, and includes lunch and a T-shirt. Golf tournament

Rowing team
The Augusta Junior Rowing Team is accepting members. No experience is necessary, and potential members can participate for two weeks before deciding whether to join. Practices are held Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 4-6:30 p.m. at The Boathouse on Riverfront Drive in Augusta. The team is open to ages 13-18.
